Occupancy

OCCUPANCY, as defined in the UBC, is the purpose for which a building, or part thereof, is used or intended to be used. Live/work occupancies are R-7, F-7, R-8 and F-8. Other examples are B (office), E (educational), A (assembly), and H (hazardous).
