Live-With LIVE-WITH™ spaces are what most people imagine when they picture typical "artist's lofts." A live/with unit is typically a single space, including a kitchen located below a mezzanine/sleeping space, which looks out over a large contiguous working space. Live/work (as distinct from work/live ) is what the Oakland Building Code calls Residentially Oriented Live/Work space.
